Prosecutor General Adriatik Llalla rejected the articles written by
international media regarding the connections of Lazarat with ISIS.
Llalla said during an annual analyze of the Gjirokaster Prosecution that
the people from this village were sentenced for cultivating narcotics.
“These people have never been involved with other criminal acts or terrorism, as shown by some small media outlets on which were based other international ones. The connection of the cannabis traffic with IS are completely fantasy”, Llalla said.
The Prosecutor General asked his staff in Gjirokaster to take start investigating for any kind of indication of corruption or smuggling, since this region also has some customs checkpoints.
