The Prosecution summoned 50 witnesses for the trial against MP Tom
Doshi, former MP Mark Frroku and Durim Bami. Among them there are famous
politicians, police chiefs and businessmen.
Prosecutor Adnan Xholi told the Supreme Court that they need to hear the testimony of the Parliament Speaker, Ilir Meta, now elected President; MP Monika Kryemadhi and Petrit vasili; former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri; former Prime Minister Sali Berisha; and former General Chief of Police, Artan Didi.
The lawyers of Tom Doshi wants the General Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla, also as a witness.
“Of course we agree to have the Prime Minister and everyone else as witness. The Prosecution should have withdrawn the accusations, but since the Prosecution wants it, then we agree”, said lawyer Vladimir Mece.
Doshi, Frroku and bami will face justice for false testimony. According to the Prosecution, in 2014 they created false evidence to start a criminal prosecution against Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta. The Prosecution said there was no plan to eliminate MP Tom Doshi, as he had declared to the authorities.
