Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Prosecution’s Task Force Unit suspended the investigations for one
of the cases reported by the Former Minister of Economy, Dritan Prifti,
who accused Minister Genc Ruli of infringing the law with the
concessions given by the state for the chrome mines.
Prosecutors Gentian Osmani and Ols Dado say that the lack of a concrete element brings the conclusion that the fact cannot be taken in consideration by the law.
The Prosecutors concluded that the two agreements signed by the Minister of Economy and the concessionary “Darfo” have not caused any damage to the Albanian state.
The prosecutors say that the agreement has brought a change in the concessionary conditions, which in a normal procedure should have been approved by the Parliament, based on the concessionary agreements of 2000 and 2001.
The Prosecutors remind that the agreement treated the penalties against the Albanian Chrome Company in case the investments would not be realized in time, but it doesn’t seem that the penalties have been pardoned to the company.
