The Fier Prosecution requested 2.5 years in prison for the Fier Mayor,
Baftjar Zeqo and seven other employees of this institution at the
Housing Department, all accused of power abuse.

The investigation started after 15 citizens applied for social housing as homeless pople. Their accusations are related to the selecting procedures of the homeless applicants.

Their claims are mainly related to the fact that the Commission has published a list without the respective points.

This way, none of them could learn how many points they had been given by the Commission, so that they could challenge that decision if they didn’t agree.

The Fier Prosecution asked 2.5 years in prison for Mayor Zeqo and 2 to 4 years for the seven employees accused of power abuse.
