The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has attached the Orest Sota case to the Habilaj-Tahiri case, a few hours after asking the Elbasan Prosecution to hand over the case.
This means that the Court of Serious Crimes will decide the arrest measure for Sota, the 25-year-old who was caught with 860.000 EUR in his car and two boat driving licenses belonging to former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri.
Sota claimed that the money was a payment meant for “Kurum”, the steel producing company, but the company say they don’t do transactions in cash for more than 150.000 ALL (1100 EUR).
A probe will start to verify suggest that Sota’s family owns an apartment at the same building of Tahiri. the assets owned by Sota and also by former Minister Tahiri. Information
