The former Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, has traveled to Germany, a travel for which his lawyer had no information.

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes feared that Tahiri might leave the country when the Parliament decided to allow them to inspect his house, but without blocking his passports.

The recent law amends for limiting the immunity of MPs foresee that there is a security measure to not allow an MP to travel abroad. This means that the Prosecution doesn’t need authorization from the Parliament to block his passport.

But the Prosecution did not ask the Court to block Tahiri’s passport. Why did this happen? The Parliament did not authorize the arrest and the Prosecution couldn’t block the passport. The Public, on the other hand, asks about the whereabouts of Saimir Tahiri.
