The Prosecution General aims to create the first Albanian program for
protecting the victims of physical, sexual and domestic violence.
OPDAT has helped bringing to our country the Albanian-American Prosecutor, Suzana Shkreli, specialized with domestic abuses in Macomb, Michigan.
Shkreli met with prosecutors of Tirana, Durres, Fire, Vlore, Saranda, Gjirokastra and Shkoder, focusing mainly on the communication of Prosecutors with the victims.
A special office was created at the Prosecution General, called the Office for Protection of Abuse Victims, which will watch the contacts of investigations between prosecutors and victims.
The office will guarantee not only legal assistance, but also social, with closer ties with social rehabilitating centers.
