Hospitals and health centers will no longer be led by directors who have no management training.
For years, these important institutions have been led by people brought to those posts by politicians, and who had nothing to do with management or medicine.
This has led to many cases of abuse with funds and bad decisions.
Enver Roshi, Chief of the Public Health Department, said: “Health management is a science of its own. All managers need basic concepts and financial direction for leading these institutions. Today’s managers have not had a medical profile”.
The one-year master training has already started and the management department chief underlines that it is finally time to hake professionals as managers. The competition between those who want to attend this master degree is strong, as only 30 will be selected.
