The three wells that provide drinking water for the western part of the Albanian capital resulted with microbe levels.
The head of the Tirana Hygiene Inspectorate, Mhill Gecaj specifies that this microbe level is filtered when entering the water network, allowing citizens to consume clean water.
But while the residents who receive water from Bovilla, Shen Meria and Selita consume normal water, Mr. Gecaj advised the consumers to be careful with bottled water.
There are many problems also in other areas, such as “Unaza e madhe” and Kashar, where the new aqueduct network has not finished yet.
