Prishtina: Ready for dialogue

Prishtina expressed its readiness for continuing the dialogue that started
with Belgrade, although it has accused the Serbian government as
responsible for the recent turmoil in Northern Kosovo.

The Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci declared that dialogue cannot be personalized, referring to the presence of the head of the Serbian delegation, Borko Stefanovic, who was seen several times among the Serbian protesters in Northern Kosovo.

“We should not personalize his presence. For the Kosovan government, he doesn’t represent anything. He is just a Serbian politician. The Serbian government is exposing its elements in Kosovo”, Kuçi declared after the government meeting.

During this meeting, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi defended the decision for applying reciprocity measures with Serbia, and underlined that the international community is not surprised by this.

“The biggest surprise for the international community is why we haven’t acted in these 12 years. Belgrade itself is surprised, because this is intolerable for a sovereign country”, Thaçi declared.

The Minister of Economy, Mimoza Kusari Lila considered the declarations that Kosovo will be swept by a humanitarian crisis as Belgrade’s political game.
