Prime Minister meets President about Bank of Albania

The Prime Minister’s press office says that their views converged on the necessity to guarantee a normal functionality of the Bank, in order to reinforce the independence of the institution and guarantee high professional standards in the leadership of the Bank.

The Prime Minister also met with the acting Governor, Elisabeta Gjoni, and with the members of the Supervisory Council.

The Prime Minister expressed his trust that the Bank of Albania will come out stronger and more transparent from this difficult but healthy process of change in a time when the banking system in general is solid and with a constant growth.
