Prifti’s trial postponed to Autumn

While waiting the judicial review of the evidence that the Supreme Court
decided admit for the trial against Dritan Prifti and Leonard Beqiraj
(the former Minister of Economy and his Deputy Minister), the Penal
College has not held the next session, since the judicial body was
unable to gather.

The session lasted only a few minutes, with the rapporteur of the case announcing the parties that the case was postponed to autumn, September 10th. The cause for this postponement was the absence of one of the members, Aleksander Muskaj.

The Prosecution and the Defense presented their stances in the first sessions. Prosecutor Bujar Sheshi asked to review in the courtroom the video materials that show the two officials sharing the money, the transcription of the conversation and their travels outside the country, recorded by the Airport system.
