Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Supreme Court Penal College decided to present the preliminary requests for the Prift-Beqiraj case on May 10th.
As they had decided in the previous session, the case prosecutor, Bujar Sheshi, made his propositions regarding the perliminary requests of the lawyers.
The prosecutor told the court that the lawyers’ requests for declaring the expertise of the US expert, Glen Bart, referring to a previous decision of the court about Ilir Meta’s case, has no reason to be taken in consideration.
According to the Prosecutor, the Supreme Court decision on this case is intermediate adn it cannot have an obliging force.
However, the Prosecutor commented on the verdict when Glen Bart’s expertise was considered invalid for the Meta case, adding that this decision was against the entire Albanian judicial system for the last 16 years.
The Prosecutor declared that the Supreme Court has dozens of cases in which the expertise of the same conditions has been considered as valid and based on law.
