In an interview for Shqip, Dritan Prifti, the former Minister of Economy
who published the video scandal of the former Deputy Prime Minister,
Ilir Meta, says that he will not publish anymore videos, since no one
gained from what he reported.

“I tested the system and the system failed. There is no reason to continue reporting other videos. This history is closed, once and for all”, Prifti declared.

Asked by the journalists if he has received more pressures recently, by some groups who claim of having 180 hours of video footage about him, Dritan Prifti raised the alarm that the opposition and its MPs could be under illegal surveillance.

“I heard Spartak Braho claiming that he has 187 hours of video footage about me. If true, this is the ugliest evidence for the existence of a mafia group in government that spies the opposition and the Parliament illegally and without mandate”, Prifti declared.

“I have heard of such a group that has bought in Bari, Italy, Russian spying equipments that they use illegally and for mafia-style reasons against the opposition and the independent institutions of this country”, Prifti added.

Prifti underlined that he has transmitted his concern to the General Prosecutor.

“I don’t know if there has been taken any measure against this mafia group. This is the maximum of illegality. This is a mafia on power, that makes blackmails every day and no one has the power to react in the defense of the law”, Prifti declared.
