President’s reception for the media

For Bujar Nishani, this is the first year when he has the privilege to wish the Albanians a happy new year as President.

For the ceremonies that have now turned into a tradition, President Nishani opened it with journalists and media leaders. He valued the contribution of the media in the awareness of the society and promised his support for increasing the media freedom.

“O wanted to be part of this part of that army of citizens in our society who encourage, support and value your mission and daily work”, Nishani declared.

President Nishani added that he wanted the journalists to be his daily advisers and he encouraged them to be the voice of citizens with professionalism.

“The media representatives should be more active and more critical, always more oriented by analyses and comments of all areas, so that the Albanian society will always have the level they deserve in an ambitious society for its dynamic future”, Nishani declared.

The President asked the media representatives to not leave in shadow the daily problems of the citizens now that there will be the elections of 2013.
