Presidential tour in Kucova

The object of the President’s visit in Kucova was the honoring of the
Polish engineer, Stanislav Zuber. Prof. Zuber has contributed in our
country from 1927 to 1947.

Besides several important geological studies, he discovered the oil sources in Kucove and Patos.

Prof. Arqile Teta considers him as the father of the Albanian geology. In 1947, Stanislav Zuber was executed by the communist regime and his work was left in silence.

President Topi chose to honor him exactly in Kucova, the oil town where the polish engineer worked, by handing over to the Polish Ambassador the Order “Mother Teresa” for Ing. Stanislav Zuber.

“It was not by chance that we chose the medal “Mother Theresa” for prof. Stanislav Zuber, for valuing him as a scientist and as a man of human values. The fact that prof. Zuberi is returning today here, among you, in the center of this town, shows that this town and this country has a good memory”, Topi declared.

Devoted only to this agenda, the Albanian President refused any political comments. He answered in a Presidential way to a question about the debate with the Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli.

“Today is Monday. The President has started an intensive activity and I assure you that this week will be full of events, which follows with the President’s institutional obligations for the integration agenda, which I believe that should be followed by all institutions”, Topi underlined.
