Invited by the General Secretary of the UN, Ban Ki Mun, and the
President of the General Assembly, Nasir Abdulaziz Al-Naser, the
Albanian President, Bamir Topi, together with the First Lady, Teuta
Topi, traveled this Wednesday to the United States of America for being
part of the High Level Debate that will be held on 17-18 May 2012, in
New York.
In this important activity for discussing the sharpest issue of our time, the world’s financial situation, are invited heads of governments and states, high authorities of the world politics and leaders of important international organizations, such as the IMF, WB, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and the World Trade Organization.
The official visit of the Head of the Albanians state at the biggest organization in the world for the international security, the economic development and the social equality foresees a series of important meetings, such as that with the UN General Secretary, Ban Ki Mun, the leader of the National American-Albanian Council, etc.
The President will decorate the Pan-Albanian Federation of Ameriac “Vatra”, and many well known Albanian personalities, with an important contribution in promoting the patriotic, cultural and peace-loving values of Albania.
