
After visiting Himara, The Albanian President Bamir Topi went to Saranda
where he met the new mayor Stefan Cipa and representatives of political
parties.
During the meeting with the mayor and members of the Municipal Council, the President appreciated the civic coexistence, the welcoming tradition, and also the cultural and historical values which can be seen by every visitor in Saranda, as the head of the Albanian state declared.
The President congratulated the newly elected of the local administration and wished them for progresses in the development of the town.
“I wish you a smooth work, successes in the realization of your obligations. Saranda will continue to be a model for the harmonic development among the infinite natural and historical resources, progresses in the economic, agricultural and fruticulture perspective, which should continue to be an essential part in the concrete projects of the future”, Topi declared.
Same as in Himara, President Topi walked in the Saranda Promenade by greeting the citizens. Then he visited the exhibition “Impressions from Saranda”, which is still open at the Ethnographic museum of this town.
