President, Rama meets Idrizi

The public and non public negotiations for the presidential election are continuing with intensity between the political actors.
Such was the meeting between the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, and the Party for Justice, Integration and Unity leader, Shpetim Idrizi. They dined for more than 90 minutes at the Xibraku Complex, in Tirana’s suburbs.
Rama left without giving any comment about the discussion he had with the government’s small ally.
Shpetim Idrizi also preferred to not comment about the dinner, the focus of which should have been the presidential election process, in which PJIU has supported the candidacy of the ruling party.
It is still unclear if they have discussed about Xhezair Zaganjori, the candidate proposed by the majority, or about the opposition’s declaration which stated that they would not support any candidacy that has been proposed unilaterally by the government.
