Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, considered as “unacceptable” the
alleged surveillance made to him and other state officials by government
structures.
For this reason he appealed the Prosecution for a responsible investigations for preserving the parameters of the state.
“There is an illegal surveillance equipment today, and this goes against the Constitution. I appeal the Prosecution to protect the dignity of the state and security. I appeal them to investigate which customs authority allowed the entrance of this equipment in Albania”, Nishani said.
The President gave these declarations during a meeting with the association of former political prisoners, on the 25th anniversary of foundation.
The President valued their resistance against the dictatorship and guaranteed that he will not allow a half-done law for opening the communist files.
