Albanian President Nishani: “More EU commitment against extremism in the region”
The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, said that extremist nationalistic circles in the region aim to bring back the dark years of conflicts, and that’s why the EU needs to have a more serious commitment to the area.
The President stated this declaration during a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy, Vincenzo Amendola.
They also discussed the excellent cooperation between the institutions and law enforcing agencies in both countries for fighting against terrorism and illegal traffics, and for also managing the migration fluxes .
Amendola is visiting Tirana for the Western Balkan summit that will be held in Rome, after the Berlin process.
