“President”, Nano: We’re on the right track

The former Albanian Prime Minister and Socialist leader, Fatos Nano, met
the Party of Justice, Integration and Unity (PJIU) leader, Shpetim
Idrizi, in the framework of his campaign for meeting the Parliamentary
parties, after expressing his ambition to run for President.

“We are on the right track for expanding dialogue between the political leaders, not only for resolving the issue of the President, but also as an objective for accelerating the integration reforms”, Nano declared after the meeting.

Nano was asked about the recent developments in Macedonia, for which he asked the local structures to not make collective punishments.

The PJIU leader, Shpetim Idrizi, declared that the President issue must go through a process of negotiations with all political forces, and the elected name must be above the parties.

By valuing the figure and platform of Nano, Idrizi underlined that PJIU will contribution for having a President that is accepted by all political forces and the Albanian people.

A few days ago Nano met the Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, the Socialist leader, Edi Rama, and he is expected to meet soon Prime Minister Sali Berisha, the United for Human Rights Party leader, Vangjel Dule, and the Republican Party leader, Fatmir Mediu.
