The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, has met with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, George Tsereteli, and the General Secretary, Roberto Montanella.
The president noted that Albania supports all OSCE activities and gives its modest, yet not determined contribution.
President Meta said that there has been special attention paid to the key reforms related to the EU progress, hoping that the European Council will decide in June to open the EU accession negotiations.
The Albanian head of state underlined the necessity to progress with the electoral reform, based on the OSCE/ODIHR recommendations: “It is very important for Albania to conclude once and for all the chapter of problematic elections”, Meta said.
