President meets Turkish Parliament Speaker

The Turkish diplomat, Cemil Cicek, and the delegation that accompanied
him, attended a visit at the Albanian President, Bamir Topi. In this
meeting was present the Turkish Ambassador to Tirana, Mr. Hasan Sevilir
Asan.
Topi valued the excellent relations and the historical friendship between the two countries, expressing his desire and conviction to intensify them even further in all areas. The Head of the State considered the reinforcing of the institutional mutual cooperation as very important, especially between the highest legislative institutions of both countries, in order to reinforce the rule of law and democracy.
The Turkish Parliament Speaker, Cemil Cicek, expressed his special pleasure of meeting the Head of the Albanian state, and underlined that he has closely followed every development in Albania. He valued the institutional, constitutional, positive and serious role of the Albanian President in reinforcing the rule of law and Albania’s democratic processes. He wished for a quick realization of the integration aspirations of the Albanian people for the European family.
