The Albanian President, Bamir Topi, asked for more dialogue,
communication ethics and cooperation in the framework of the EU
integration reforms of the country.

“Today we need to keep present that the European challenge requires work, dedication, seriousness and cooperation. The European aspirations of Albania must be a daily challenge for the entire society, for the officials and politicians, in order to make integration a real unification, an important value that we want to achieve. The model of the rule of law cannot be successful without cooperation”, the President emphasized.

The President released this declaration during the EURALIUS conference. In his speech, Topi underlined that politics must find the common language as soon as possible, so that the political parties will not slow down or obstacle the discussions for immunity limitation.

Sequi: Political cooperation for the rule of law

The EU Ambassador in Tirana, Ettore Sequi, declared that the immunity means that the officials will have freedom to exert their duty, but also to be accountable for their actions.

“The creation of the organizations that make the law function is not something easy. More political cooperation is needed, for enabling the functionality of law”, the ambassador declared.

The diplomat expressed his conviction that Albania will progress towards EU.
