President decorates US Peace Corpus

The US Ambassador to Tirana, Alexander Arvizu, and the Albanian
President, Bamir Topi, participated in the oath ceremony of the 43
American Peace Corpus volunteers.
Topi awarded the Corpus with the High Order “Mother Theresa”, while the tragic memory of the Himara accident was still present in this meeting. Arvizu thanked the Mayor and the Albanians for welcoming the American Peace Corpus volunteers and said that he had prayed for the victims.
Earlier during the day, Ambassador Arvizu paid homage to the Elbasan University “Aleksander Xhuvani”. He offered his condolences to the families of the victims and placed 11 wreaths for each of the victims.
