President decorates Ismail Bej Vlora

Ismail Bej Vlora and all the delegates who signed Albania’s Declaration
of Independence were decorated by the Albanian President, Bamir Topi, as
an appreciation act for the historical past of the nation.
“In the framework of the 100th year of independence, I have the honor and the privilege to declare Vlore and their citizens ‘Honor of the Nation’, for appreciating the spirit of the patriots who fought and shared their lives, knowledge and wealth for this land, for this nation and for this flag. All these achievements were made possible by the wise and visionary man, Ismail Bej Vlora, the kind of leader that Albania needs so much today”, Topi declared.
Accompanied by the Director of the National Museum of Independence, Topi visited the symbol building of independence, where the delegates raised the Albanian flag. The portraits of the delegates have been painted and displayed there by painter Arben Morina.
