The Mayor of Presheva, Shqiprim Arifi, joined other leaders of the area in supporting the idea of the Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, to correct borders but not by exchanging territory between Kosovo and Serbia.
Contacted by Radio Dukagjin, he said that the border correction presented by Thaci is something that can be discussed, but this doesn’t mean territorial exchanges”, he said for RTV Dukagjin.

Arifi admits that they are against territorial exchange with Serbia, not wanting to weaken the position of Kosovo.
“We want Kosovo to be strong, we want northern Kosovo to be part of it, even if that means that we stay in Serbia”, he said.
