Residents in Presheva don’t believe that the MPs of Kosovo will be able to realize their unification with Kosovo.
They say that both Albania and Kosovo haven’t given them the deserved support.
“They only say that to keep people pumped up with adrenaline. I don’t believe them. Politicians are unable to resolve their own issues, let alone ours”, says Refik Mehmeti, from Bujanoc.
However, younger generations see unification as their only hope, although distant.
“The Serbian regime continues with economic discrimination, employment discrimination, same as under Miloshevic”, says Reshad Ajdini, resident of Presheva.
“If people can’t find jobs, they will have to leave and go abroad. They’ve got families to feed”, another resident says.
