Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The former Chief of the Diber Police, Shemsi Prenci, resigned from his
duty today and accused the Prime Minister of opening way to crime.
According to Premci, Berisha gives democracy lessons during the day and
makes way to mafia tyranny by night.
“I used to think that the Prime Minister had learned the expression ‘there is no mafia, but there are criminal caves’ from books, but unfortunately, being in front of the mafia caves in Bulqize, and facing the silence of the high state structures, even from the Prime Minister. I have reported these mafia caves from 1400 meters underground, when I was director of the Special Forces, but these reports have fallen on deaf ears and I have understood the terrible truth. The President has learned about this mafia from inside the caves, not books. I am a democrat and I will always be such, therefore I will abandon in their misery those who lecture the people about law and democracy by day, and that open way to the tyranny of the mafia by night, damaging the poor people”, Premci declared.
Premci accused the General Chief of Police of being directed by the crime. Through this public declaration, the former Chief of Police says that crime won on the police uniform, and that’s why he was obliged to resign.
“Who is forcing the General Chief of police and why? Your obligation is only to the law, not to those who have your law enforcing competences under their grip, and have turned you into a puppet. Our profession obliges us to investigated dark places, but it is not acceptable to act as such. I did what I could, but not what I wanted, for stopping the mafia that is sucking the blood of this people even in the crime caves of Bulqize”, Premci declared.
The former Diber Chief of Police also accused the Interior Minister, Bujar Nishani, of supporting the local Interior Service Inspection, which he considers part of the mafia structure in Diber.
“Although I found the support of the most vital part at the Diber Police structures, I didn’t have this from the directing structures of the General Police Directory and the Interior Ministry, which defended the incriminated part of the police, which originates from the Interior Inspection which is established only to serve to the chrome mafia”, Premci declared.
Premci says that there is no justice in Albania, where miners are killed as slaves only for the mafia to get richer.
“I took my freedom because with my uniform I could not do anything more against the chrome mafia that keeps robbing Albania, by killing the slaves of the Bulqize mine and the entire region. I have many things to tell, but only in front of the General Prosecutor and the public opinion. I don’t believe in this justice system which is connected with the mafia caves that have the power. But I will always believe to the right of the people to which I belong to”, Premci declared.
The former Chief of Police declared that although his life is in danger, he resigned only to make public everything that he knows.
“I need my freedom today to speak openly with the enemies of this people, because as a police officer against the chrome and property mafia, it was them who own, not me. But the battle is not over, and they must forget threatening me with the wage that feeds my family, as they have done so far, or with my life, what they could do from now on. They can forget that they will win my silence for everything that I know from my profession”, Premci declared.
Shemsi Premci reported another scandal one year ago, the order of the Deputy Minister of Interior, Avenir Peka, for using the Special Forces against the opposition supporters in the Kamez electoral campaign. After this report, Premci was moved from Director of the Mobile Operational Forces to the Diber Police.
