The 22 year old Meleqe Demiri, from Zalldardha, Diber, risked a third
abortion due to the difficult situation caused by the snow that has
isolated the entire village.
The village doctor asked aerial evacuation for the young woman, and told about the difficulties and the lack of food and medicine among these residents of that village, who, besides poverty, have to endure extreme weather conditions.
The pregnant woman was sent to the Koco Glozheni Maternity Hospital in Tirana, where she underwent a series of tests.
Dr. Fedor Kallajxhi says that after the examination, the woman and her child are out of life danger. The pregnant woman will stay for some more days at the maternity, under medical care.
