Hundreds of families in Zejmen have had no power supply, although they
pay every bill. CEZ officially confirms the fact that the area has paid
the electricity, but the cause of this power cut is the Manati village.

This village has not paid and CEZ was obliged to cut their power, but they have forcly reconnected it to the Zejmen commune, by burning the transformer that the Zejmen residents had bought on their own expenses.

“We stayed for five weeks without energy and we placed this transformer. We were told that it was burned. We are appealing the state, if there is a state”, one of the residents complained.

CEZ has used power cuts in the entire area and admits that the energy at the Zejmen commune is paid.

“I have paid the energy each month, from 1997 to today. I take 14.000 ALL of retirement pension, and I pay 10.000 for medicine and the rest for the electricity”, an elder woman says.

The areas affected by the power cuts are those of Zejmen, kallmet and Kolsh, which are staying in the dark for three weeks.
