Ferry trips departing from or coming from Bari and Brindisi to Durrës and Vlora in Albania are canceled for three days due to bad weather expected to start from this afternoon.
The General Maritime Directorate announces that strong winds with south-southwest and south-southeast direction will worsen the weather on the coast from today until April 1.
Wind speeds of up to 20 m/s and sea wave height of 2.5 to 4 meters will bring the sea strength up to 8 point measure.
In these circumstances, maritime authorities notify all passengers who have booked to travel on March 30 and 31 on the Durrës-Bari and Bari-Durrës lines should contact the agencies for refunds or relocation of trips to other dates.
The movement of small sailing vessels and trawlers in Durrës and Vlora will also be prohibited until April 1, when the weather is expected to clear after 22:00, the maritime authorities announced.
