Around 11.000 spectators flocked in Saranda’s main square to follow the show “Vere dhe Portokalle”.

Top Channel’s “Portokalli” comedy troop brought around 20 acts on the summer scene, a lot of music and spontaneous improvisations for more than 2 hours. The Saranda citizens and holidaymakers coming from all parts of Albania followed the show, expressing their different emotions when seeing their favorite actors live.

“We have had many artistic activities, but the humor received by these people is extraordinary”, declared Mayor Stefan Cipa.

Saranda is the fourth destination for the troop, and among the most exciting, according to the Portokalli actors.

“This was our fourth show. We have organized shows in Lushnje, Vlore, Himara and now it was Saranda. There was a special atmosphere, because there were many spectators on the square and even in the sea”, said the host of the show, Salsano Rrapi.

“The humor brought by the actors is very welcomed by the public and this was a very good initiative, especially for those who cannot follow it live in Tirana’s scene”, actor Florian Binaj declared.

Gazmend Paja, actor of the troop and organizer of the show, says that the tour was very important not only for the public, but also for them.

“We have given our maximum in all cities. In Saranda there were 11.000 visitors on the square. Even the politicians have not been able to attract such a large croud. We are very happy, because we feel better when we are near the public”, Paja declared.

“Vere and Portokalle” was supported by the Saranda Municipality and a number of businesses. The show had numbers adequate to the southern Albanian city and it produced long laughter especially when the public was involved in the act. “Portokalli” will continue the tour in other cities.
