The Adriatic Coastline, from the Lalez Bay and to the Perroi i Agait,
managed by the Durres District, has a limited number of public bathrooms
that increase the risk for pollution and infection. The same situation
is in Golem and Mali i Robit.
Although the microbe parameters in the water remain in normal parameters in most of the beaches, the peak of the tourist season makes the situation very critical ini these conditions. Health Directory leaders in Durres say that the most polluted beaches are in Porto Romano and the Taulantia Promenade, which must not be frequented. Meanwhile, the cleanest beaches are in Lalzi Bay, Juba, Rrushkull and Rinia.
The health director appeals for measures to be taken by the local administration and the tourist operators for using public baths during the peak days.
