Polluting limekilns will be destroyed

The Regional Environment Agency will destroy all limekilns at the Fushe-Kruje area, especially the Halil village.
The Durres Regional Environment Agency that inspects this area has made the final inspections and has notified that the limekilns that use tires and plastics for feeding the fire will be destroyed for being major environment polltuers.
“We have organized an inspection through the entire Kruje territory, and we have identified that there are 2-3 from the 10 limekilns in the Halil village have used tires for feeding fires, which means that these are isolated cases. We will destroy these cases. We are in the preparation phase for demolishing them. We are preparing the legal documentation for all subjects and we have left a suspension act. Their demolition will be realized very soon”, declared Ramazan Kalija, ARM director in Durres.
The Construction Inspectorate has interfered several times in the area by destroying some of the kilns, but the dark smoke that goes even to Tirana has never stopped.
