The Albanian political leaders have visited today the city of Elbasan.
Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader, Lulzim Basha, visited the same premises but gave different messages about the economic situation.
“This fair has more companies than in the past year. This is good news. We have Albanian companies showing interest for export. These companies will develop the Albanian economy”, Rama declared.
Basha underlined that poverty and unemployment have penetrated deep in the Albanian society, by blocking development.
“I want to wish a happy Summer Day. Albanians need hope more than ever. They need hope for a better future for their children and for taking themselves out of problems. In this fair I saw the disappointment and sadness for the very bad economic situation. Unemployment and poverty in the Albanian families can be seen through the reduced consumption, investments and the economy in general”, Basha said, and added:
“In these conditions, I hope that the flowers of the Albanian spring will also bring the hope for returning in the path of economic development for a future that guarantees employment and welfare for everyone”, Basha declared.
