Police stops six Syrians at border, arrests paid Albanian guide

Six Syrian refugees were blocked in the Kakavija border while an Albanian man was arrested for helping them crossing the border.

Police say they were able to detect the refugees through thermal vision cameras near the place called “Mulliri” in Kakavija. He had entered illegally from the Green Border with Greece and they were moving towards Gjirokaster.

Zija Çollaku, 47, from Delvina, was arrested for illegally crossing the border in exchange of 300 EUR. The police say the Syrian citizens were returned to Greece.
