The Albanian Police announced that in cooperation with some EU countries
they have arrested eight people in Albania, from 34 that were arrested
in total in Switzerland, Netherlands, Italy and Germany.
The director of the Organized Crime Sector at the State Police, Edmond Rizai, during a joint declaration with the Prosecution of Serious Crimes, Eugen Beci, explained that the investigation for this traffic network had started since 2011.
They explained that the people arrested in Albania had not committed any criminal activity in this country, but in four EU countries. The people who were arrested in Albania will be investigated for covering a criminal act, and will be extradited to the countries where the crimes originate.
The international network sold narcotic substances and exploited prostitution. The people who were arrested in Albania are Sokol Tafani, Besnik Lleshi, Festim Hoxha, Hygert Allko, Rezart jaho, Brunild Ramaj, Altin Poda and Bledar Shabani.
