The General Director of the State Police, Ardi Veliu spoke today about the new measure that is expected to enter into force from Thursday where every citizen is obliged to wear a protective mask, previously announced by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to Veliu, such measure is intended to avoid a closure like that of this spring.
He adds that it is easier for citizens to wear a mask and follow the rules of social distancing than to be subject to strict closure regime.
“The State Police will engage with all its capacities, along with other structures, to guarantee the implementation of measures set by the Health authorities. Police patrols will strictly monitor all public premises and spaces in which from Thursday it will be mandatory to wear a mask.”
