The Greek Police has arrested three Albanian citizens suspected for the
murder of the former Chief of Police, Dritan Lamaj. One of the suspects
is Arben Frroku.

The three citizens were arrested at 4 am in a hotel room, where police found whiskey and three grams of cocaine.

The second suspect is Jak Jaku, while the third is a relative of Arben Frroku, sentenced by the Greek justice and on a six days leave from prison.

The police also seized a white Mercedes Benz ML 320, parked beside the hotel that is situated just in front of the Thessalonica Court.

The first charges were for possession and consumption of drugs, but there is no information if they were found in possession of firearms or anything else.

The Albanian Police suspected that the killers of Lamaj could have crossed the Greek border. Lamaj was killed in an ambush this Sunday at 18:40. The 41 year old had very important posts in the Albanian police in his 19 years long career.

From 2010 to 2012 he has worked as Chief of District 6 in Tirana. After abandoning this duty in November 2012, Lamaj reported at the Prosecution that he had been threatened by several people.

The most important evidence that the police has acquired is the video captured by the camera of a private business which has filmed everything.
