Police approaching to Judge Konomi’s killer

Although not completely sure and by using the words “maybe” too
often, the General Chief of State Police, Hysni Burgaj, declared that
they are working in two investigation leads for solving the murder case
of Judge Skerdilajd Konomi in Vlore. Soon enough they might announce the name of the
first suspect.

“We are investigating in two leads. There is a maximal attention by the police, under the direction of the prosecution. I think that very soon we might have a name”, Burgaj declared.

But Burgaj’s main intention with this press release was the announcement for the arrest of 15 Albanian citizens in the last days, on behalf of the Italian justice.

These people were arrested in Vlore, Fier, Elbasan, Tirane, Lac and Shkoder, charged for serious crimes in Italy, such as prostitution, drug traffic and organized crime.

“The ratification of the agreement with the Italian Parliament opened way to the arrest of these Albanian citizens that were wanted by the Italian justice. The Police will investigate their real estates, for verifying if everything is according to the law”, Burgaj declared.

All the people that were arrested had been sentenced from 5 to 17 years to prison from the Italian justice. Burgaj warned for other arrest of people who have committed crimes in the neighboring country.
