Polican plant director denies affairs

After the scandal published by Top Channel’s program, Fiks Fare, that
the Polican Plant is repacking ammunition rather than dismantling them,
the director of this plant has reacted.

Lulzim Gjoka declared that the claim for illegal ammunition trade is absurd and the repacking process is a normal practice.

According to Gjoka, the plant selects the ammunition before burning it, so that the ones that are valid will not be destroyed, but they will be used for different purposes of the army. He adds that the date that is printed on the boxes is the repacking date, and it is very normal. He adds that the production date of ammunition cannot be changed, because it is stamped through technology under the shell of every bullet.

“After the bullets are selected, we repack them. This is a procedure within all laws and instructions. We stamp ‘repacked’ on each of them”, Gjoka declared.

Fiks Fare brought for the public the images of how some employees opened the old metal boxes and placed the ammunition in wooden boxes, rather than destroying them, according to the project supported by the US government.
