Pogradec, increasing tourism

Although summer came late this year, Pogradec remains a favorite
destination for Albanian and foreign holiday makers. All hotels are
booked by tourists that visit this town each year.

Restaurants have changed their menus with local food to welcome tourists. The specialty of Pogradec remains the “Lake Trout Casserole”

Pogradec has turned into a destination that is offered even through tourist packages.

What remains to be seen are the competing prices of food and accommodation, and also improvements in the infrastructure and maintenance.

“I am from Belgium and Pogradec is a nice place with low prices. The lake is clean and I didn’t hesitate taking a swim. I will stay here for six years. I discovered Pogradec from internet, while searching for nice places to spend my holidays”, says one visitor from Belgium.
