Poaching is a very big concern in the Elbasan District. The Prefect
Shefqet Deliallisi has organized a meeting for coordinating the work in
order to protect the fauna that is in danger. Deliallisi asked
administrative measures against the people who commit poaching.
The Head of the Hunters’ association, Kujtim Hasbiu, has a plan that serves in protecting the endangered habitats.
The Forest Police is committed to make intensive inspections of the endangered areas, since part of the animals go outside the border illegally.
The police will start checking the people who have hunting weapons, who will be obliged to undergo a test for showing that they can recognize endangered animals.
