PM visits Forum of Investments in Abu Dabi

In this activity with the participation of investors from trade, tourism, transportation, infrastructure, agriculture, construction and financial services, Prime Minister Rama spoke about Albania, the country of possibilities for foreign investors.

According to Rama, while Albania is on the way to the EU, the government is focusing in raising a new economic model based on the renewal of strategic sectors and on the full opening to foreign investments.

“We are interested in developing relations in energy and exploring the cooperation possibilities in the drinking water processing, since Albania is rich of it and with a very good quality. We are interested in attracting foreign investments in tourism. We will pass a new law in Parliament for the new direct foreign investments, which will facilitate the coming of foreign investors in the Albanian market. Agriculture is also a good area in which our country has great potentials”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister invited the present entrepreneurs to organize a visit to have a closer look to the recent developments in Albania and take in consideration the chances offered by our country.

The Albanian PM met with the highest UAE personalities, starting with His Excellency, Mohammed Al Murr, Chairman of the National Council of the Emirates. Rama valued the role of the UAE in the region and their model for diversified development.

Rama underlined that Albania is open to investments from the UAE, not only as a potential for the economic development of the country, but also as an opportunity to increase cooperation in areas of interest.

The Chairman of the Council valued the recent developments in Albania, especially in the region and the role of our country in the regional initiatives. He valued the cooperation between the two countries, underlining that it is important to increase them in the future.

The Albanian PM was received by the Prince of the UAE Crown, his Highness Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The crown prince expressed his interest to have further possibilitiesn with Albania, especially in developing the infrastructure and investments in tourism and agriculture.

Rama also met with Mansour bin Zayed Al Nayhan, Deputy Prime Minister of te UAE and President of the Emirates Fund of Investments. In this meeting, Rama was accompanied by his wife, Linda Rama; Ministers Ditmir Bushati, Arben Ahmetaj, Saimir Tahiri and MPs of the friendship groups between the two countries.
