Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a press conference, said that the Berlin Summit held today in Tirana on the integration of the Western Balkans is historic.
Rama also complimented the European Union, saying that this organization is open not only to member countries but also to countries that want to be participants.
“Something is formally changing since Russia attacked Ukraine. We see it because we are so affected by everything. We are attentive to every movement, every smile of the leaders here by my side.
“If earlier we could see EU countries that were different in support. We don’t see that today, it’s very different.
“The summit has brought fantastic results. It is something new. The EU is open to non-members agreeing to take other steps that are actually members-only, such as financial aid. They are big things.
“I am very optimistic about this spirit and this approval because we are at a very high level, and this mission is changing things that were unimaginable for us.
“The EU proves to people something that you cannot find anywhere else, which is the construction of countries with democratic standards.
“Thank you for giving us this great opportunity to show how much we love you. I hope it was not a boring day for you”, said Rama among other things.
