PM Rama publishes map and schedule for the weekend: From Monday only the Red Zones will remain closed

Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared on Facebook the map with the red municipalities in the country where the same regime of coronavirus rules and traffic schedules will continue as before.

These areas will be fortified with checkpoints and unauthorized entry and exit of vehicles will not be allowed, he stated.

The head of government announced that: “This weekend, just like last weekend, only vehicles that have an authorization for work will be allowed to circulate throughout the country, and the exit of pedestrians will be done with two time bands: Until 09.30 only pensioners will be allowed out and from 10.30 to 17.30, parents with children up to 14 years.

“If the situation with the numbers of infected and hospitalized continues to be stable, this will be the last weekend with a curfew for citizens over 14 years old”.

Rama’s post:

“From next Monday, only the Red Zones defined in the attached map, i.e. the municipalities of Shkodra, Kurbin, Kruja, Durres, Tirana and Fier, will remain with the same regime of traffic schedules and restrictions as before. These areas will be filled with checkpoints and unauthorized entry and exit of unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed.

“All the rest of the country will be classified green area and intercity traffic with a private vehicle within this whole part will be free, with a schedule that will extend until 21.00 For this part will only remain in force the rules prohibiting the gathering of more than five people, cultural and sports activities of any kind, public transport as well as specified closed economic units.”
