Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu, have closely followed today the vaccination process in the Home for the Elderly in Tirana.
“We started yesterday in Shkodra and we are continuing throughout Albania the vaccination of the elderly in nursing homes.
In total there are about 700 elderly people in all care homes. The rest are staff. So about 1000 elderly people and staff that will be vaccinated “, said Manastirliu.
The Minister of Health said that the vaccination of the elderly over 80 years will continue in the population. Prime Minister Rama thanked the staff of the nursing homes, who according to him “have sacrificed themselves in isolation along with the elderly”.
