Prime Minister Edi Rama paid a visit to the Fier region, where he was received with protests by some citizens and employees of the local oil refinery.
Oil workers in Fier say their economic situation is miserable and they have not received their support wages as was promised by the government.
“We are afraid for the future”, “Rama go away”, were the slogans they chanted.
“No one took the war salary,” stated one of the protesters referring to the pandemic financial support promised by the government. “Not one, can come forward and say he got it. All the workers are in a miserable condition “, said one of the participants.
